POSITION SUMMARY

As a result of our continuous growth, our company is looking for an energetic person who is seeking to develop his career in a manufacturing environment and fulfil his potential as an Accounts Executive within our Production Unit.  The successful candidate will need to be proactive, have a hands-on approach and report to the Unit Management Accountant

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1 Work in conjunction with all departments both within and outside the Unit to ensure maximum profitability.

2 Monitoring theoretical consumptions of materials to actual and investigate variances.

3 Maintaining and developing all product costings and data to ensure accurate stock valuations.

4 Ensuring that set internal control procedures are working effectively and providing a critical assessment of such controls as well as proposing improvements where and when deemed necessary.

5 Reviewing periodically approved Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance and liaise with Management on any non-compliance.

6 Assess samples of incoming invoices for goods and services to ensure best price in line with approved policies

7 Measure, assess and report on departmental performance in line with budgets and targets.

8 Assist in the monthly preparation of Management Accounts

9 Taking up an active role during the Company’s annual statutory audit.

8 Carrying out other duties as may be necessary from time to time.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Work in an office environment. Liaising with other Departments within the Unit and within other Units is imperative

Working hours are those associated with a full-time employment.

 

EDUCATION & LICENSES REQUIRED

The ideal candidate would ideally be pursuing a suitable qualification or possess relevant work experience in a similar position.

Experience in a manufacturing environment encompassing knowledge of standard costing will be considered an asset.

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / QUALITIES / TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED IN THIS POSITION

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • A good level of mathematics
  • A methodical and meticulous approach with an aptitude for detail
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Good organizational skills
  • Capable of building productive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Hands on with a can-do attitude.
